Greetings!

Another day, another illustration! As I stated a few days ago in this post, I’ve joined forces with Black Buffalo Publishing a few months ago, and they issued a fun, engaging Halloween-themed contest on their Instagram (in this post, to be more accurate).

Therefore, I decided to make a series of illustrations to pay homage to my titles and other members’, too. I’ve started with Menmar/Voltage mashup, followed by Aylie/Hagenos and now, I’m featuring La Miseràble’s main throuple (Aurelia and her husbands, Alastor and Rajesh) dressed as Black Power and his main love interests, Delilah and Mayor Dandara!

In order to be able to commercialize La Miseràble, a soft retcon will be released next year, called La Miseràble: Tears of Gold, which will contain the original five acts with extra pages and scenes, plus a few short stories which fit La Miseràble’s main timeframe. Officially, Tears of Gold marks La Miseràble’s entrance into Menmarverse’s fold, making it canon regarding dates and events!

Black Power is a comic book series written by Denny Rodrigues; it depicts the journey of Sansão da Silva, a 33-year old Brazilian man who becomes a superhero after receiving a blood transfer from an alien called Mentor.

Initially, Black Power ran as a series of comic strips with loose ties with each issue. However, the Origens Secretas/ Secret Origins and Dia dos Pais/Father’s Day story arches changed the narrative’s format, which now runs biweekly through Black Power’s Instagram profile until it’s properly edited into pay-to-access volumes at Black Buffalo Publishing’s store.

Its current arch is Verde de Raiva/ Green and Mean, which is planned to host at least 10 chapters before going to store! Currently, the strips are only available in Portuguese.
