Greetings!
Another month, another Menmar Monthly Art! Menmar completes 5 years since the first time I published it, and I’ve been using those illustrations as way for you to get to know more about this universe while I get some other projects done before coming back to it!
We are already halfway through 2025, and this piece is coming slightly delayed; I’m currently working on Aylie Anthology’s final piece, From Drylands to Lax Wires, which is behind schedule. However, I’ve dedicated some of my time to bring this next piece to life!

The Month of Guwshut
The Month of Guwshut equals to June in real-life/ Gregorian calendar; it is preceded by the Month of Nemek and followed by the Month of Wahh, closing the Summer season and preparing the Azorians to welcome Autumn properly.
This is also a month to honour miners, masons and blacksmiths; in older times, Guwshut was the month dedicated to hunters, but due to a concern with game scarcity, custom changed the rituals, and a rise on mining and stonemansory work seemed to fit the month better than its original celebration.
Therefore, the Week of Returning celebrates the miners and stonemasons’ return to to the inner city of Azoria, along with giving the blacksmiths a well-deserved break. The citizens hold faires, feasts and even creative contests to test their mettle and showcase engineering advancements – or creative solutions, at best.
Personally, for Nadhine Anahita, this is a month to honour two beloved people – Esther, on her birthday, and Soroush, her deceased husband-to-be, who worked as a miner. It’s also her vacation month, due to being a blacksmith herself.
