Greetings!
This year, Menmar completes 5 years since I first published it! Since then, I have posted a few chapters online and left the series on a hiatus due to my other real-life job as an assistant pastry cook and due to Brigadier Bits’ production, which was faster and easier to work on. I also produced Aylie(Anthology), Oneiropolos and La Miseràble, and the former is on its way to be completed.
Like I did on January, I’ll use the Menmar Monthly posts to further explain its universe through Azorian Calendar, which is the main timeframe measurement on Menmar’s universe. Enjoy your reading!

The Month of Abenemat
The Month of Abenemat equals to February on our real-life calendar. It is the Second Month of Spring in the world of Roshan, and it is preceded by Subjazat. Also, it is the penultimate month on Roshani year, followed by the Month of Deyeroz.
The Month of Abenemat brings sturdier crops to Azoria’s inhabitants, and a few seasonal flowers begin to bloom. Rain comes back even to drylands and deserts, and prickly pears can be harvested. The Festival of Waters takes place mid-Abenemat, and it marks the beginning of the flooding season. On greener Roshani landscapes, Abenemat is the Month of the Monsoons and Tropical Rainfalls.
It is still a good month for herding, and some critters can be spotted on wet areas, such as turtles and frogs. A few of the former are revered as sacred and their holy ponds are always cared for. On Abenemat, however, it is custom to give sweet and savoury flower petals to the turtles, wishing for good fortune and plentiful harvests for the year.
The Month of Abenemat is considered a month of renewal for Azorians, and its 29 days are often used for housing, cleansing and rainfall collecting.
