Greetings!
I’m finally back from the quick break that I took from my projects and studies to finally welcome 2025 in an appropriate manner. For those that are coming across my work now, I’m Iridium, and I’ve been working as a freelancer illustrator and comic book writer since January 9th, 2020. This means that, this year and today (09/01), I celebrate 5 years of official active work.
I have been a freelancer illustrator since 2016, but I began to set a steadier pace in 2020, when I created my Instagram profile and other social media profiles as well. Since then, I’ve made a lot of custom projects and other for myself as well.
However, I had to slow down last year, due to commission shortages and a more desperate need for a side job to keep me afloat on art-drought periods, such as my current station, and I’m still pursuing a second job while working at home.
It’s not all doom and gloom, though! I have several good news for 2025 in the art front, and some of those come from 2024! I do hope to see old and new faces around here, since I’m set on improving my online presence and my overall project completitions!
2025’s Resolutions
As I said above, this is a very special year for me – after all, it’s 5 years of Iridium Art! That said, I have a packed schedule for 2025, and I’ll divide all my goals into major categories, so that I don’t lose sight and focus of what’s important! Anyways, here comes my list of Resolutions for 2025!
Blog Posts’ Organizations & Graphic Tags
Although I have made a good organization on my blog tags so far, I feel like I could make a better use of some features for linking and tracking which will improve your navigation; therefore, all projects and posts will have their banners, which includes the informative articles as well, such as this one. When you click on it, you’ll be redirected either to the page of the project OR the blog category that’s relevant for post context.
This is a way for me to ensure a communication pattern and even create small theme pieces for holidays and other relevant matters.
Social Media: Posts, Streamings & Schedules
Yes, I have been absent on all my social media for quite a while, and I fully intent on making more regular appearances!
My Instagram will hold my posts, short timelapse videos, animations (for announcement & character bonding purposes), Twitch Live links, and client commissions, as it has been holding for a while, and a few Q&A which I’m planning to open. I need to expose myself more as an artist, and I fully intent to do so. Since I updated my Highlights last year, I see no reason to change the design there, so I’ll add the stories and links as I create more content.
My Facebook Page will hold the scheduled posts and Instagram ones, so I’m not that concerned about it, and the same goes for my Threads profile.
My TikTok will be reformulated, and I intent to make short announcements using animations, live highlights and other shorter, more dynamic contents. Since it has been inactive for 2 years, I’ll carefully plan the content which will be posted there.
My Behance, ArtStation and DeviantArt will follow a more traditional approach. Those will receive my finished projects in terms of comic books and illustrations. Since ArtStation holds a shop, I’ll post a few collections there as soon as I’m settled, and that’s something for the second semester of this year.
Also, regarding the Comic Book Plataforms which I already have accounts (Tapas, Webtoons, Webcomics, etc.) and those that I’ll join will have their respective announcement posts, which will be updated with all projects posted in each and every single platform. The respective links for each project . Also, my Amazon account will hold Ebook versions of a few projects (those that I can monetize, some I cannot), but this is something for another post.
Lastly, my Twitch Channel will possibly be my biggest venture for this year, for I’m someone that’s quite private about life and likes/dislikes. I’ll commit myself to stream my drawings and comic book creations, along with a few gaming streams for Crusader Kings III, Assassin’s Creed (Origins & Mirage), possibly Age of Empires Series, The Sims 4 & Tibia. The Stream Highlights will also have their space for blog posts in this website, since they already have their correspondant categories and tags.
2025’s Estimated Projects & Page Upgrades
Finally, the core of this post: my projects! Last year, I finished the first phase of Aylie Anthology, I fully posted Oneiropolos and I scheduled the final act for La Miseràble, which had an unexpected halt between the fourth and fifth acts. Also, I finished Brigadier Bits a few years ago, so these four projects will be reposted on Comic Book Platforms on February on weekly or bi-weekly basis, so that I have a bit of respite while working on the ongoing projects. Also, their respective Project Pages will be updated with their intros and links as they are reposted!
Speaking of which, this year will be all about the second and third phases of Aylie Anthology, Behogár Bradana (which was announced last year and accidentally postponed), Menmar (which will be finished this year) and Saoshyant, which was also announced last year and postponed. Those four projects will be my main focus this year, and I look forward to complete them! I also have other side projects, which will be fitted to my schedule accordingly
Website Multilanguages
Yes, I’m Brazilian, and yes, I speak Portuguese! However, I’m also fluent in English and Spanish, and many of my projects are published in at least 2 of 3 languages I actively speak and write. I’m researching a way to make this website multilingual, so that you can choose between English, Portuguese or Spanish for your readings and content. For now, this address will be the English one, and the content which needs translating will be accordingly translated.
Regarding my projects, I might be looking for Spanish-speaking translators to translate the projects which don’t have a Spanish version, so that I can embrace the Spanish-speaking community as well!
Final Thoughts
Well, this was a longer post than I thought it would be! I look forward to 2025, for I have much to accomplish and celebrate! I want to thank every single one of you that has been with me through thick and thin, and happy 2025 for all of us!
Kind Regards,
IridiumArt!
